Are carrion resources as scarce as we think?

Carrion, the dead/decaying flesh of animals, is considered a limiting resource and is relied upon as a food resource by many organisms. Blowflies, in particular, rely on carrion not only for survival but also for reproduction. My research aims to do two things 1) predict the availability and distribution of Carrion in Essex County by utilizing geospatial technology. 2) Quantify blowfly species distribution and interactions in conjunction with previously predicted carrion availability and distribution.
